Inner Gold
Support for emotional and physical wellbeing
Integrative psychotherapy and wellness coaching
Hello, I’m Alison
I work as a psychotherapist and a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).
I integrate emotional and psychological therapy with physical health and wellbeing, because in real life they aren’t separate.
Some practitioners focus primarily on emotional patterns. Others focus on physical health and behaviour change. I work with both, and I guide how they come together, based on what’s actually happening for you.
At Inner Gold, I offer one-to-one support for people who are dealing with ongoing health issues, stress, or major life transitions and who are tired of trying to push themselves through on their own.
This work is for people who sense that insight alone hasn’t been enough, and that real change requires more than trying harder or getting it right. It comes from being properly supported to slow down, listen, and respond to what your body and life are asking for.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet worn down by years of managing symptoms, stress, or patterns that keep repeating despite their best efforts. Some live with chronic illness or autoimmune conditions. Others are navigating burnout, long-term emotional strain, recovery from addiction, or the quiet exhaustion that comes from always having to hold things together.
A central part of this work is recognising how closely physical health and emotional well-being are linked. When the body is under strain from inflammation, food sensitivities, poor sleep, or ongoing stress, mood and resilience are affected. At the same time, long-held emotional patterns and stress responses place real pressure on the body. Many people feel stuck because only one side of this picture has been addressed.
My approach brings these pieces together. Alongside emotional and nervous system support, I also offer practical health coaching. For some people, this includes guidance with approaches such as the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP). Changes to food and lifestyle often bring up strong feelings, especially when habits have been a source of comfort or control. Part of the work is making space for that experience, rather than pushing through it or treating it as a problem.
I do this work because I’ve needed it. I’ve lived with chronic illness, faced significant health and emotional challenges, and committed to my own inner work over many years. This has taught me to stay humble, be realistic, and respect the body’s timing.
Alongside lived experience, I’ve been supported by skilled therapists, coaches, and teachers, and I’ve also trained extensively to support others. You can read more about my qualifications on the Qualifications page.
If you’d like to get a clearer sense of how I work, you might start with the Inner Gold Approach page, where I describe the framework that guides this work.
If that resonates, the Work With Me page outlines the practical ways we can work together.
